1 Corinthians 15: 57-58

3 February, 2023

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

God our Father, your steadfast love is unceasing and your mercies infinite. Your grace multiplies in our lives according to our faith, hope and perseverance. You have regained for us all that we had lost of our own accord, and because of our weakness and unruly desires we fell into disgrace in the eyes of our God. Yet, Lord, you did not abandon us, but sent your beloved son Jesus, to save us and redeem us.

We praise and give you glory joyously, for you have restored us, adopted us, given us a place of everlasting peace in your kingdom, filling us with your grace obtained by the blood of Jesus, sanctifying us and joining us in a new covenant with you. We will be faithful to our commitment of serving you, forevermore in your will and your way.

Father, at the times our resolve weakens, especially in storms and tribulations, in persecution and temptations, help us to overcome all with the help of your Holy Spirit. Help us to adhere to your doctrines and to hold fast to our Lord Jesus in moments of unbelief.

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and for always. He is your Word and your Word endures forever. Your love is everlasting and our mission as evangelists is to spread this love, spread your gospel of truth and goodwill, drawing other souls into the Light of your saving grace, in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen
