Pray without ceasing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Lord, Almighty Father, each night we end our day praising your Holy Name, and every morning glorifying our Mighty God, whose Powerful Hand we see in all things. We know that our praise, our prayer, will be adding to the resonation of an innumerable multitude of heavenly beings, who are, in eternal continuity raising their voices in songs and praise, to the accompaniment of angelic music on lute and harp.
As children of the God of Light and Truth, we have been exhorted and instructed by the righteous ones who have given their lives for your greater glory, to lift our voices, thoughts and actions, with constant prayer and joyous song in our hearts, for the gift of each breath of life on this earth.
Our Lord Jesus taught us to pray and invoked your name in all his ministerial activities, healing, miracles, and every hour of every day. As members of his church, we need to pray constantly, individually, as a family and as a community. We are admonished, as believers, to be joyful in prayer and give unceasing thanksgiving even during adversity in our lives.
Father, the Author of our lives, yours is the breath we breathe, yours is the Spirit exuding love, peace and hope in our hearts and we pray and hold communion with you every moment of our day, to keep right our ways, to be sources of spiritual inspiration, to evangelize your teachings and to avoid all evil. Preside over our lives, accept our humble praise, granting the petitions, made in Jesus’ Name. Amen
