We're almost halfway through the twelve days of Christmas and we're all agog with curiosity, as the children chatter in childish incoherence, wondering what hidden gift Secret Santa has left on our doorstep...

Today, the seventh day to CHRISTMAS, we await with trepidation at what's gonna land on our doorstep! Santa is going 'over the top'

With giving this, our ‘true love’ was really buying us something rather expensive. Swans have always been luxury goods, a medieval Gucci handbag, if you will. In the medieval period, swans were status symbols, exchanged between noblemen and as the centuries wore on, they became increasingly exclusive to royalty.
Any exclusive feast worth its weight in gold, had to have a swan as centrepiece, especially at Christmas feasts. Ideally, you’d roast a few swans in their feathers and put a burning piece of incense in its beak. In 1251, Henry III ordered 125 swans for the Christmas feast for his court. Christmas is just around the corner! In prayerful expectation we await the 'REASON FOR THIS SEASON - JESUS!
And Jesus is the reason we celebrate in great merriment and cheer, this fast approaching Christmas season. We make plans for the giving of special gifts to those who need love and support!
But yes! We're the recipients of gifts too, from Secret Santa, who is disguising the inner gifts with outer wrappings and trappings to gladden the heart at Christmas time.

We are inching closer to D-Day and can sense the excitement building up...
Christmas cribs are being put up with different themes, as each vies with the other to win the Crib Competition. The city looks like fairyland, as a range of decorated Christmas trees and stars are set up..And there are a myriad lights everywhere...
But Jesus was born in an atmosphere that was poor and humble! Amidst cattle and hay, straw and shepherds. And YET, his BIRTH was the MOST SPECTACULAR!
For the lone Star lit up the firmament, a multitude of angel choirs echoed through the night, and kings from different parts of the world hurried to witness His birth.

There's snow falling to unprecedented depths, and revelers singing in merriment as the countdown to Christmas is almost at its close.
A flurry of feet tapping and dancing continues into the night and as morning arrives, so does our gift
Brimming with excitement, full of genuine curiosity, and wondering what's arrived, we fling open the door and are deafened by a blast of MUSIC, as we see...CATCH YOUR BREATH HERE!!!
