“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 2 Corinthians 12:10

Gracious Lord, You are an Omniscient God and know that life’s challenges, though often painful, can be pathways to a deeper relationship with You. You have ordained for us to endure deeper suffering on earth inorder to gain greater rewards in the Kingdom of heaven. Through our weaknesses and struggles, You reveal Your power and strength in ways we could never dream of, or experience on our own. In a world that prizes self-sufficiency and strength, it can be hard to embrace vulnerability and helplessness.

We are often tempted to hide our weaknesses, thinking that to show strength is to protect ourself. But through this scripture, You invite us to see things differently. You encourage us to find joy, not in avoiding pain, but in trusting that You are working through it. Help us to remember that our weaknesses aren’t obstacles but opportunities for Your grace to shine through. Lord, teach us to surrender to Your will, when rundown with care and remind us that when we feel inadequate, it is not a failure, but a moment to lean into Your strength.

You use what we see as limitations to accomplish Your perfect plan. When we are weak, then we are strong — this truth, though mysterious, becomes a source of peace. We pray for the courage to embrace this path of humility, where our insufficiency makes way for Your all-sufficient grace. Thank You, Lord, for this beautiful promise of taking our burdens onto Your shoulders, if we submit to You. May we live each day fully aware that our strength lies in You alone, living life to be a testament to the incredible power of Your grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
