2 Peter 1: 19

24 April, 2021

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19

Lord God, you are the One, True, Ever-living God, who first brought forth from your word, the light of purity into the world, to combat the darkness reigning over the firmament. We worship and thank you for giving us light here on earth, to dispel the gloom, the bitter confusion, the evil of complete darkness. The light of your Holy Word prevails over all and is accessible to all sections of people in equal measure.

It has always been prophesied that a Messiah would come to save the peoples of the earth, shattering the shackles of evil in the dark, spread by satanic forces, and so manifest the power, glory and saving grace of our Eternal Father, towards his chosen and anointed ones. Into the darkness came the Light of the world, in the name of Jesus Christ shining out as a beacon of hope and belief in our Father God.

We thank you for this light, Lord. In joy we have experienced that Jesus lives and comes to meet each one, bringing victory over enemy powers. In the name of Jesus Christ and in his name alone we ask you to remember the needs of our time. We wish for nothing that comes from ourselves, for we know it is of this world, and will not last. We want your peace, Lord God, the peace in which everything becomes new, born anew even in suffering, to the eternal glory of our Father, in the Name of Jesus. Amen
