Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. – Philippians 4:9
Holy God, our Father in Heaven, we know your commands and are persevering to walk in your ways, every moment of our lives. We walk in confidence, feeling your Presence, through the Power of the indwelling Holy Spirit and praise, worship and glorify your Name, for without your doctrines, we were wandering aimlessly, like a flock without its shepherd. You have given us direction and purpose in our lives, goals to accomplish, taught by Jesus and through discipleship in him.
Jesus has taught us, through his apostles and followers, that obedience to your Holy Word, humility, service to all mankind with love, and carrying our crosses on this earth courageously and with equanimity, are the ways we can establish the peace he has distributed to us. We need this spirituality to build up our faith and hope in the truth of your gospel. We need to live exemplary lives as Christians, thus spreading peace and harmony among all our brethren.
God of peace, equip us with the wisdom of your Holy Ways, so that we remain in communion with you, through abiding always in Jesus and he in us. Help us diligently practice to become good and holy Christians, submissive to you in all things, to make us worthy of your grace. May we have comfort in renewing our peace with you each day, that you may embrace and prosper us, and may ever continue being reconciled to you through Christ, and at peace with you in his Holy Name. Amen
