HE heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. – Psalm 147:3
Eternal God, we worship, glorify and sing your praises, for you have created us, and you know our story, of which you are the Author. And yet, ungrateful mankind thinks they can make it on their own. We pay scant respect and regard to the Owner of our destiny and ignore the many messages and warning signs you give each one of us, to afford us the opportunity of repentance and of crying out to our Father, who is our Savior, Deliverer and Redeemer. You bestow your favor on those who dwell on you, for you, our God, are the Only One who matters and we need you every minute of every day that we live.
Lord, when we seek your aid, you take toxic wastes away from our lives, be it relationships, unhealthy lifestyles and dependance on others, instead of depending on you, or other habitual worldly pleasures, for we can make it in life without certain persons that walk away, but we can never make it in life, without YOU! You are the Maker and you hold us in the palm of your hands. As long as our focus is on you, as our Healer and Preserver, we will suffer no harm. When the crosses we carry become too burdensome, we rely on you to help us.
Lord, you are Omnipresent and Omniscient and we need to have absolute trust in you, living our lives in humility and obedience, submission and total surrender to your Holy Will. As long as we are turning back to a past which has gone and which we can no longer change, and dwelling miserably on circumstances we have no control on, we will miss the great things that you have in store for us. For, by living upright and spiritually healthy lives, accepting the changes which are bound to occur, relying on your faithfulness to uphold us and heal us when downtrodden, we are abiding in you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
