THE 25th OF DECEMBER
“IN THE CITY OF DAVID, CHRIST THE LORD, THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD HAS BEEN BORN
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! And this will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” – Luke 2:10-12
The book of Genesis prophecies about the coming Messiah, the Savior and Redeemer that the Jews were waiting for. God chose for His Son to be born in the most humble place, in a manger, in a simple family and to live and fulfill all the prophecies given for thousands of years about Him. Jesus did not remain the baby celebrated in a manger. He grew up, ministered God’s love to people even if most of them rejected and mocked Him.
The Almighty God, loved, loves and will love people until the end, giving us all the chance to be saved until our last breath, including to those who reject Him more than once. Jesus offered Himself as the perfect lamb of God, dying on the cross for the sins of all mankind, giving us all opportunities to be saved and spend eternity in heaven instead of hell. But in order to have what Jesus provided for us, we have to ask Him to become our Lord, repent of our sins, sincerely asking God to forgive us and start to live right for the Lord.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Glory and honor to Your holy Name dear Lord for sending Your Son to be born as a human, to redeem and save us. Thank You with all my heart for Your perfect plan of salvation and for touching my heart to be able to believe that Jesus is Your Son and be able to invite Him into my heart. What an amazing grace You offered me, to become Your beloved child and receive all the wonderful spiritual blessings that Jesus provided for me on the cross. Thank You Lord Jesus for the perfect example You lived as a human and for opening the way for me to be adopted into God’s family. Thank You Father God for all Your love, care and mercy. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
