TODAY’S GOSPEL READING – 24 JUNE

THE 24th OF JUNE
BY UNDERSTANDING GOD’S NAME, WE CAN BE INFUSED WITH THE IDENTICAL LOVE THAT GOD THE FATHER HAS FOR JESUS.
“O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” – John 17:25-26
Jesus concludes His prayer by emphasizing the righteousness of His Father, which stands in stark contrast to the sinful nature of the world. This is why the world cannot comprehend Him. Just as oil and water do not mix, righteousness and sin are incompatible. Even a small amount of light dispels the deepest darkness. As we allow Jesus’ light to shine through us more brightly, darkness diminishes around us. Consequently, more people are drawn to Jesus, while those who reject Him tend to avoid us.
We belong to God if we believe that He sent His Son, Jesus, to save the world. Jesus revealed the Father to us, and His names reflect His character and attributes. As we deepen our relationship with God, we experience the depth of the love with which He loves Jesus. When God’s love resides in us, so does Jesus.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Thank you, Lord, for unveiling Yourself to me! I feel incredibly blessed and privileged to be Your child. Please guide me in comprehending and embracing more of Your love, filling me completely. Father, I am grateful that You love me with the same boundless love You have for Jesus. My desire is to abide in You, Jesus, and for You to dwell in me every day of my life. Grant me the strength to remain steadfast in this commitment. Glory and honor to Your sacred Name. Amen.
