TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
13 MARCH, 2025
Matthew 7:7-12

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Which one of you would hand his son a stone
when he asked for a loaf of bread,
or a snake when he asked for a fish?
If you then, who are wicked,
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your heavenly Father give good things
to those who ask him.

“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.
This is the law and the prophets.”

THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION

In this passage, Jesus teaches us about the power of prayer and the generosity of God. He assures us that when we ask, seek, and knock, God will respond with love and wisdom. Just as a loving parent provides for their children, our Heavenly Father gives us what is truly good for us. This reminds us to trust in God’s timing and to persist in our faith. Additionally, Jesus calls us to treat others with kindness and fairness—the essence of the Golden Rule. Our relationship with God should reflect in how we love and care for those around us.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your endless love and for always listening to our prayers. Help us to trust in Your wisdom, knowing that You provide what is best for us. Teach us to seek You wholeheartedly and to live out the Golden Rule in our daily lives. May our actions reflect Your love and kindness to others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
