Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. – 2 Corinthians 9:6
God of Bounty and Abundance, we offer at your altar our humble obeissance and penitence for all our omissions. We give thanks to you for your Divine Providence to all who trust in and have recourse to you. We are in your Mighty Hands, loving Father, submissive to all your plans and honoring your Holy Word. Lord, you are a God of unfathomable love, kindness and mercy, and your goodness has no end.
You abide with your people for all time, steering us onto the right path, when our feet stray into dangerous avenues. Lord, your generosity of spirit knows no end and you richly recompense all who care and give without measure to those in need. You bless all who cheerfully and with largesse, share the abundance of their labor, to benefit their poor and suffering brethren, thus uplifting them.
Assist us Lord, to grow in charity towards our fellowmen, for when we sow spiritual seeds bountifully, sharing and lightening another’s burden with magnanimity of spirit, we receive accordingly and liberally. But when we niggardly and sparingly give of the immensity that we are fortunate in having, accordingly we shall be wanting in such things. May the rewards of our afterlife be in proportion to the good works that we have done to others, in the Name of Jesus our Lord. Amen
