Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. – Hebrews 11:1
Holy God, tender and merciful, because of your Steadfastness, we believe in all the unshakable promises you have made to us, who have been fortified and strengthened in Christian faith and rely on the counsel of the Holy Spirit to live pure lives, in accordance with your Holy Word. Our faith in Christ, is rooted in his sacrifice for the atonement of the sins of the world, to the end that we may receive the salvation of our souls. Faith is a Divine fruit of the Spirit, given to your elect, justifying the purchase of souls, for the restoration of your glory.
We are sinners, dear Lord, and our forbearance and courage in our sufferings derives from the fact that, although we fall short of the Glory of your Being, Heavenly Father, our living in humility and submission may make us worthy recipients of Christ’s sacrifice. The spiritual knowledge of good things to come, is wrought in us by intense belief for heavenly blessings which will lead us to you in grace and favor.
Although we have no evidence of things to come, we have experienced the Holy Spirit dwelling within a righteous soul and demonstrating your power and might, when we seek you and know that you are with us every step of our lives. We have hope, when you reveal your divine nature in ways beyond our very comprehension, making evident your love which surpasses all understanding, and your inexhaustible mercy, upholding us in Jesus’ Name. Amen
