A PRAYER FOR MAUNDY THURSDAY
LET US PRAY
This Maundy Thursday when You, Jesus Lord, showed by example, how we must serve our fellowmen, we pray for their well-being and ours, for the entire world, to end war and violence and put a final end to Covid, which distanced us and set us apart, at a time when we should have come together in prayer.
We pray for those who are left jobless and hungry. For those dying alone and without the Sacraments. For healthcare staff and essential workers who keep things going. For those away from the faith and those who do not believe, who have no clue of the seriousness of the times we are living in.
Help us to unite, though divided and to emerge victorious in our fight against violence and wilful unrighteousness. May we serve one another and may the Eucharist strengthen our faith, endurance and holiness, in Jesus’ Name.
