Prayers and Petitions

Colossians 3:17

15 December, 2023

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17

Lord God, Protector of all who place their faith in you, through belief in our Lord Jesus Christ, we begin each day with praise and gratitude through our Lord Jesus, for your merciful protection throughout each night. We continue our day with you by our side, abiding in Jesus through the counsel and comfort he gives us. We invoke our Lord Jesus as he is our Mediator and through his intercession you receive our petitions.

Jesus has instructed his disciples that we can reach you only through him for he is in you and you in him and since we abide in him, all that we ask you in his Name will be granted us. For he himself is our peace, who broke down all barriers and by the sacrifice of his flesh and blood gave us your grace and restored your glory. We can reach you only in the name of Jesus and praises, devotions, must ascend to you through Jesus. He is our salvation, he will grant justice and he is the Head of the Church.

Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant so that all of us who are called through faith, may receive the promised eternal inheritance, through your grace, since the debt of sin and transgressions has been cancelled as they were committed under the first covenant and they have been paid for, in totality, by Jesus’ death.
Our Lord Jesus explained that he is the way, the truth, and the life, the channel through which you, dear Father can be approached. Christ has obtained a ministry that is much more excellent than the old as the new covenant he mediates is better, and is enacted on better promises that you grant to us, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
