Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.
Colossians 4:6
Lord God, you are our Benevolent and Omnipotent Sovereign, and every word emanating from you is infallible, true and with purpose. You are gracious and kind, merciful and compassionate. Lord, you made us in your likeness and filled our minds and hearts with qualities of goodness and virtue. Any deviation is the result of the influence of evil in our lives and we need to destroy any perverse intent before it takes root in us.
Lord, as your children and true believers, our Christian duty makes it imperative to minister to our brethren, both believers and unbelievers in humble and mature manner. Help us to be convincing, but never forceful, as bearers of the good news of the gospel and the glory in persevering in earnestness, what has been promised us by Christ’s atoning sacrifice and our God’s amazing grace and provision for all who approach and sincerely acknowledge you in faith.
Grant us the grace and fervor to display by our conduct the truth of your Holy Word, emulating Jesus in patience and perseverance and spreading the message of the gospel in Christlike appeal, to draw others to you. Save us from corrupt practices and harsh approaches to truly evangelize with grace and love, making our discourses both comfortable and edifying, for the glory of your Name. Help us instruct, establish your word and enrich minds, gaining more souls, to inherit through faith, a worthy place, in your Kingdom, in the Name of Jesus our Lord. Amen
