Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. – Deuteronomy 7:9
God Almighty, God of Righteousness, Who has delivered us out of the depths of despair and darkness, and brought us into the Light of your Grace, your Might and Mercy knows no end. You forgive all our transgressions and once our penitent hearts bow down to you in humility and obedience of your Holy Will, you remember our sins no more. You sanctify us, covering us with your favor.
Lord, you are true to your Word, which once given, has never returned void, but accomplished all your unswerving and infallible promises and plans, covered in your new Covenant of love, which you revealed to us through Jesus himself. We need have no worry or fear, but need to walk in your path, with absolute trust and resolute faith and hope. We know, without a doubt, that you will uphold us if we surrender totally to you.
Lord of Mercy and Compassion, loyal and loving, help us imbibe the charisms and virtues of your Holy Spirit, our Counselor and Guide, so that, encompassed and fortified by your love, we may extend, express and spread the same to our fellowmen. For, only by perpetuating your commands, we will be able to spread the joy of your giving, and be blessed by your favor and grace, Glorious Father, in the ages to come. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord! Amen
