He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Almighty God, you are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and End of all creation which you have wondrously charted out to perfection and which runs its course in your time. With you, Lord, there is no concept of time, for you are eternal and your Heavenly Kingdom is for all eternity. Your magnificent works are incomprehensible and cannot be easily discerned or unravelled by our human mind, which has varied earthly distractions. The years spent on earth, make us lose sense of the fact that life is temporary here and there is an eternity promised to believers.
Lord, the earthly dispensations you have blessed us with, have clouded our minds and hearts to the unimaginable glory of your Being, and the beauty of the formation of your works from the beginning of your creations, as well as its vastness, which is absolutely fathomless and mind-boggling. We are so embroiled in the trials and troubles, struggle and achievements, goals and targets of our lives on earth, that we faill to realise the falsehood of this life, and erroneously fix our sights on earthly events.
Lord, give us the grace to see and have belief in your supremacy as King of the Universe. Make us mindful of our meaningless preoccupation of the transitional nature of our lives on earth and help us perceive the vastness of your eternal Kingdom, where we will, by our faith in you, inherit eternal and imperishable life, the eternal salvation won for us by our Savior Jesus Christ. Give us strength to grow spiritually, and knowledge to understand our true nature, as children of an Incredible, Eternal, Omnipotent God. Guide us, through your Spirit, to strive to attain everlasting life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
