I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Almighty Father, King of heavenly skies and earthly domains, in your great compassion and endless mercy you have deemed us worthy of being saved and given an inheritance in your Heavenly Kingdom. This is the great faith by which we live today and the greater hope we have of gaining the right to enter the realm of heaven by your beloved Son Jesus’ supreme sacrifice.
As we meditate on this indescribable gift of your love and presence in you, we pray for the abiding resolve of no longer gratifying earthly desires but becoming consumed by the gains of spiritual life and eternal hope. We surrender our old way of defining life, for we no longer live but Christ abides in us, and our faith and trust is in you, our Lord and our God. We yearn for the delights of the heavenly kingdom, where our lives will be transformed and integrated with life in Christ.
We have been fortified in faith by Jesus’ death, to a new spiritual life with Christ and our spirit is revived and sanctified in him, our Eternal Savior. We condemn our old sinful nature and will ever strive to gain righteousness before you, dear God, by replenishing our lives with a stronger belief that justifies Christ’s perfect sacrifice for each one of us. Give us the endurance and strength to stifle our base, mortal selves and attain spiritual purity in the Name of Jesus. Amen
