Galatians: 6:9

8 June, 2023

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up – Galatians 6:9

Abba Father, we worship your Holy Name and give you thanks and praise, for even when we get discouraged and sink to the depths of despair, you never give up on us. Father, teach us to trust you and increase our faith at such moments, so that we may rise again, when you uplift us and persevere in doing good to our fellowmen, whatever our circumstances may be. For the more we spread the bounty of your grace, the richer we will be when you supply us with the glory of your blessings as just rewards for the labour of your faithful people.

Lord, we need to develop patience and forbearance, not losing hope in the face of seemingly defeated times. For we frequently experience a lapse of time between the seed and the harvest, the prayer request and the answer. Yet instead of losing heart and giving up when this happens, we should be confidently thanking you, Lord, certain that a harvest will surely come. For with your Holy Word all things, great and small is wrought, established and accomplished, in your time and measure.

Father, you are most willing to justly distribute your blessings and favor among your people, seeking sincerity in prayer, stoicism in endurance and a deep faith in your unchanging promises. We continue praying and rendering our services to those needy and marginalized brethren without slackening our efforts. We know that it is a test of our fortitude, and are determined, with the help of the Holy Spiritual, not to accept defeat, with you at our side. We have total assurance that you, Almighty God, will never abandon us and are ever at work. We believe that you are in control and we are revived with this assurance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
