For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. – Isaiah 54:10
Abba Father, all power, praise, glory and honor to you, for you are our Powerful God, our Fortress of Refuge, our God of infinite wisdom and compassion. We, your people present ourselves before you, crying out from the abyss of pain and distress for the rich benevolence with which you succor and assist us. Lord, you have given us the assurance of your promises, which are unshakable.
We rest in your Holy Word, Lord, and on your covenant of peace, whereby we have been reconciled to you by our Savior and Messiah Jesus Christ, that anything sought for, pleaded for, with pure and sanctified spirits, you will provide us, if we ask it of you, in the Name of Jesus. You have promised all manner of happiness, in Scripture, for you will not cast off your Christian church, formed under the new covenant, established by Jesus himself. We believe that it will stand forever, even if the mountains are razed to the ground.
Your fount of mercy is inexhaustible and we trust Lord, that you will replenish our souls with your soothing grace and love, which is the reservoir of the forbearance we have when we suffer. We are fickle human beings, struggling through life’s trials and temptations and we depend totally on you Lord, our strength and our salvation, for we know with certainty that you will never abandon us, but with kindness restore us, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
