“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10
Lord, O Great and Mighty God, your love and compassion for us is unparalleled, more so, because we have sinned repeatedly and unashamedly against you and thus, are undeserving of your love. Yet, Lord, you have forgiven all our offences, for you are a faithful God. Your care and compassion remain unshakable in the midst of changes and your Word and Covenant stand forever.
We thank you that you have given us the Savior, in whom we can become united and have peace on earth. May he, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, work powerfully among us. May your Spirit come into people’s hearts so that they learn to acknowledge you as their leader and their God and to rejoice in their lives, which are intended for eternal life. Bless us through your Word and through all the good you do for us.
Constantly renew, enkindle and enlighten us in faith and forbearance through the graces you bestow upon us. Remember all your people who have separated themselves from you and for whom you await in the Name of Jesus Christ. May they all confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, to the honor of God the Father. We exalt and glorify you for the promise you have given us of a future of everlasting Communion with you. We are grateful that the Holy Spirit guides us to our true calling and leads us on the way to salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
