Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. – James 5:16
Merciful Father, we stand before you, making contrition for the multitude of grievances committed and being committed by us. We are fully mindful of our sinful nature, whereby we have so grievously offended you, more so, that even though Jesus died and erased all our sins, becoming sin itself, by being nailed to the Cross of our iniquities, we continue to be swayed to temptations and sins, and distance you from us.
Lord, we beg you to forgive our lapses of omission and commission, and heal us, drawing us closer to you, for we realize our errors and are infinitely sorry for them. We ask pardon for our trespasses from our brothers in Christ and pray to be forgiven and restored to you, with sincere hearts, promising to walk in your ways and in obedience to your Holy Will. We have complete faith that, if we seek you with contrite and humble hearts, we will be reconciled to you
Father, you admonish us when we sin and revive our wounded consciences from guilt, every time we go down on our knees, making expiation for all our excesses. We thank you for your mercy and grace in recognizing our weakness and raising us up to be healed, purified and transformed. We hasten to mend our relationship with you through loving and forgiving, praying and helping our fellowmen, realizing that in forgiving, we are forgiven, in asking pardon for our mistakes and praying for each other, we are healed, in Spirit, and justified before you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
