But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. Micah 7:7–8, RSV
Dear Heavenly Father, our King and Redeemer, we thank you for a new day which presents an opportunity for us to begin anew. As darkness gives way to light and new wisdom in that light, so we look towards you, Father, waiting in patience and perseverance to behold the divine light of your Countenance. We are ever aware of our perverse nature and sinful ways but Satan shall not triumph over us. Every fall from grace we will use to climb to higher spirituality and transformation in our lives. We pray for strength to turn every calamity into a renewal of mind, heart and spirit and every condemnation of sin into deeper purification of our souls. May the light of Christ and the fire of the Holy Spirit save us from eternal damnation and deliver us into the just path of your Divine Providence. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen
