MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 10 NOVEMBER

THE 10th OF NOVEMBER

TRUE HAPPINESS COMES ONLY FROM THE LORD

“Nothing is better for a person than to eat and drink and to find enjoyment in their labor. This, too, I realized, is from the hand of God. For without Him, who can eat or find enjoyment?” Ecclesiastes 2:24-25

When God offered Solomon anything he desired, Solomon asked for wisdom to govern Israel well. God granted him unparalleled wisdom, along with riches and honor he hadn’t requested. Ecclesiastes reflects Solomon’s insights and life lessons, showing us that even the wisest can falter. We all need the wisdom that comes from God, who generously grants it to those who seek it.

In our earthly life, the verses above remind us of an essential truth. Some people work tirelessly, striving to leave wealth for their descendants but miss the joy of their own labor. Striking a balance in work, spending, saving, and sharing is vital. With Jesus at the center of our lives, all we do is dedicated to Him. Led by the Holy Spirit, we earn, give, and enjoy life’s blessings, thanking God for everything.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Thank You, Father God, for the abundance of delicious food You’ve given me. With Your peace and joy in my heart, each meal is even more delightful. Help me to find the right balance between work and rest, saving and giving, earning and spending, and let me live in obedience to You. I want to be Yours forever and please You with all that I am and do. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for making my salvation possible and for being my greatest friend. Glory and honor to Your Holy Name, now and forever. Amen
