MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 11 NOVEMBER

THE 11th OF NOVEMBER

THE CONSEQUENCE OF LACKING REVERENCE FOR GOD

“But it will not be well with the wicked, nor will he prolong his days, which are like a shadow, because he does not fear before God.” – Ecclesiastes 8:13

Persisting in sin is a dangerous path. Those who choose wrongdoing, finding satisfaction in harming others to benefit themselves, risk hardening their hearts in wickedness. A hardened heart repeatedly dismisses the warnings of the Holy Spirit, diminishing the chances for repentance. Such a path leads to a bleak end.

True wisdom begins with reverence for the Lord. Recognizing our dependence on God is the wisest decision we can make. The fear of God is not about terror; rather, it’s about honoring the Lord and maintaining a healthy respect to avoid sinning against Him. God desires a loving, genuine relationship with us, and He has given us His Holy Spirit to guide us along the “narrow path” of Truth, leading toward heaven. Our true worth is defined by our relationship with God.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Father God, help me to value eternal things more than temporary gains here on earth. Teach me to hate evil and love what pleases You. I cannot succeed without Your help, so please grant me wisdom and guide me to make right decisions by following the Holy Spirit’s lead. Thank You wholeheartedly for all You have done and continue to do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
