GOD’S WORD IS PURE AND RELIABLE
“Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” – Proverbs 30:5
Throughout history, God’s Word has been tested and proven true, much like silver refined in the furnace of experience. As Psalm 18:30 also affirms, “As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” His Word is completely blameless, offering pure truth—flawless and perfect.
We can rely on every word from the Bible when understood in its proper context and aligned with the entirety of Scripture. To ensure our beliefs are correct, we must always compare them with what the Bible teaches on every subject. The Holy Spirit reveals to our hearts the meaning of God’s Word, transforming it into a living truth that delivers and changes us. Once the Holy Spirit unveils the true significance of Scripture to us, it becomes a protective shield, giving us complete confidence, no matter the circumstances.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Thank You, Father God, for the Holy Spirit and for the revelation of Your Word that He brings. In Your Word, I find all the wisdom, power, guidance, and truth that I need. Help me to study, memorize, and treasure the Scriptures in my heart so that the Holy Spirit can remind me of Your Word in times of need. Your ways are perfect, Lord, and Your Word is proven and true, confirmed by fulfilled prophecies and even what science has uncovered. I can trust and rely on Your Word always. Thank You with all my heart for Your Word and for the help of the Holy Spirit in fully understanding it. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
