GOD ALSO HEALS OUR SOUL WOUNDS
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalms 147:3
This truth applies to all of us, not just the people of Israel. God created each of us as unique individuals, yet we all experience heartbreak and need healing at various times throughout our lives. Who better than our Creator understands exactly what we need?
Our Lord desires the best for us and does not take pleasure in our suffering. He does not allow us to endure more than we can handle, and He intervenes when the pain would be detrimental to our well-being in the long term. When those around us, exercising their free will, disregard God’s guidance and cause harm, our Lord is there to help us heal. If we remain faithful, He will apply His perfect healing balm to our wounds. In God, we find the strength and healing we need, no matter what we face.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Heavenly Father, You know better than anyone else when I am hurting and what I need for healing. I understand that a broken heart is sometimes inevitable, so please guide me in making wise choices to avoid unnecessary pain. Help me to follow Your directions, obeying Your will in all things. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for being my Comforter and Helper in every difficult situation. I am grateful that You never leave me alone. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
