THE 12th OF DECEMBER
JESUS HEALED ALL WHO CAME TO HIM
“And He (Jesus) cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'” Matthew 8:16 b-17
Jesus Christ desires for us to live victorious, abundant lives on earth and to dwell with Him in heaven forever. Through Him, we can receive healing, as it is God’s will for us to be restored. Jesus healed everyone who came to Him and repeatedly emphasized that He came to do the will of His Father, with whom He is one. Whether the illness stems from spiritual oppression or physical causes, healing is available to us in Jesus’ Name, for “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Isaiah 53:4).
As the Son of God, Jesus holds all authority in heaven and on earth, reigning over every power and dominion. His Name is above every other name. Because Jesus bore our infirmities, we can be made whole; because He carried our sicknesses, we can be healed and restored. At times, healing happens miraculously and instantly; at other times, it unfolds gradually. Regardless, we are called to continue in faith, believing that we were healed when we prayed, even if the manifestation is not immediate. The work was accomplished in the spiritual realm when Jesus bore our stripes on the cross two thousand years ago.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Thank You, my Lord, that no sickness or infirmity is beyond Your power or willingness to heal. You love and heal all who come to You, never turning anyone away. Thank You for the many diseases You have healed in me and for the pains You have taken from me throughout my life. You are my Lord, who forgives all my sins and heals all my sicknesses. In Your Name, I am made whole. Glory and honor to Your Holy Name forever and ever. Amen
