SALVATION IS POSSIBLE ONLY BY GOD’S GRACE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” – Romans 3:23-24
Every person has sinned and continues to fall short of God’s glory. Under the Mosaic Law, people were entirely reliant on the sacrificial system to be made right with God, since no one could fully obey the Law or earn righteousness through their own efforts. If it were possible for us to save ourselves, Jesus would not have needed to die in our place to pay for our sins.
Because Jesus died for us, we are no longer under the Law, but under grace. However, this does not give us a license to live as we wish, assuming God’s goodness will save us regardless. Jesus’ sacrifice is sufficient for our forgiveness, and nothing we do can add to His redemptive work. Yet, it is only by accepting Jesus as Lord and following Him wholeheartedly that we can be freed from the guilt of sin, be made acceptable to God, and receive eternal life.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for redeeming me by paying for my sins with Your life. I am grateful that I am no longer under the Law but live in Your grace. I am blessed to be Your child! Please help me live righteously for You, pursuing holiness and obeying Your will. Strengthen me each day through Your Holy Spirit so that I may live to please and glorify You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
