THE 14th OF JULY
GOD USES EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO US FOR OUR LONG-TERM GOOD.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28
Because we are God’s children who love Him and are called according to His purpose, we qualify for the promise in this verse. Many non-believers quote this verse during hardships, but it does not apply to those who do not truly love God and are not called according to His design and purpose.
How encouraging it is to realize that God makes all things work together for our good. He is always working on our behalf. The verse does not say that only good things are used, but that all things, good and bad, are used by God in such a way that if we continue to trust in Him, we will see good results even from bad situations. This shows that whatever the enemy intends for our harm, God uses for our benefit in the long run. Glory to God!
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Thank You, Lord, that in Your might and wisdom, You turn around all that the devil uses to hurt and destroy me for my benefit. You always have a good plan and make things work out as long as I continue to live for You and belong to You. Thank You for the great lessons I have learned during hardships and for Your Spirit that lives in me and strengthens me at all times. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for never leaving me alone and for helping me overcome whatever comes my way. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
