IN JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE LIGHT
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.” – Ephesians 5:8-10
When we lived in sin, we were in “darkness,” but now that we belong to Jesus, we are called to walk as “children of Light,” born into the Light. Our actions often speak louder than words, and sin cannot remain hidden for long. Likewise, the good fruit and blessings in the life of someone who lives righteously for the Lord will become evident.
Being “light” means reflecting the Light of Jesus—producing the fruit of goodness, righteousness, and truth. We are called to discover what pleases the Lord and live according to His will. Our lives should reflect gratitude for the salvation and calling God has given us, setting an example for others to follow.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Father God, help me to be a true light that shines for Your glory in all that I do. Help me recognize the lies of the enemy and combat them with the truth of Your Word, so that I may bear the fruit of light, not of darkness. Thank You, Lord, for the goodness, righteousness, and truth that You bring into my life. Glory and praise to Your holy Name, now and forever. Amen
