THE 17th OF OCTOBER
JUSTIFIED BY FAITH
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:1
Sin created a barrier between God and humanity. Since the fall, mankind has been driven by the flesh rather than by the spirit, as God originally intended. Jesus came to restore our relationship with God, and when we are born again, we are led by the Holy Spirit, reconnecting our spirit with His.
Through faith in Jesus, we are forgiven and declared righteous before God. This reconciliation brings peace between us and God, allowing us to rejoice in our restored relationship. There is nothing more important in life than being in loving unity and peace with God. Our primary purpose on earth is to be right with God, enjoy a relationship with Jesus, and influence others to experience the same.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Father God, thank You for the peace that makes me whole. Knowing I am saved gives me peace in all circumstances, even as I consider leaving this earth. Thank You, Jesus, for making my unity with the Father possible and restoring my life. Help me to enjoy the life I have in You, stay in harmony with You, and be a witness to those who need salvation. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
