GOD’S CHILDREN CANNOT BE DESTROYED BY ANYTHING

We are pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Life is difficult for all. We have our own battles and share of suffering. The apostle Paul suffered more than all the other apostles, but he chose to see the good side of every bad situation and so to keep the faith. Paul’s strength while being persecuted for his faith, came from knowing how much God loved him and how much Jesus had to suffer for our redemption.

We all suffer, even if we do not like it or ask for it, but the way we respond to it is our choice. The only way to remain faithful is by choosing to look at Jesus and see the bright side of everything. The Lord never lets us go through something we cannot handle or conquer through Him.

Jesus said, “do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Even if our persecutor kills us, that is a blessing for God’s children, because in an instant we will be with Jesus in heaven. There is nothing we should fear, except disobeying God.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Eternal Father, I thank You for all the blessings You have bestowed in my life, through Your Son. In Jesus I have found true peace, joy and the courage to overcome hardships. Thank You for the counsel and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Help me to keep a grateful heart and never forget that as long as I remain in You and You in me, I can face all pressure, hardships, persecutions and attacks, without fear, confusion, despair or being destroyed. Thank You Father for all Your blessings and for being a constant source of solace and refuge. In Jesus’ Name I put my trust. Amen
