HOW TO PLEASE GOD AND BEAR GOOD FRUIT

“That you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God.”  Colossians 1:10

Due to our human nature, we often find it challenging to live in a way that is truly worthy of the Lord, even after becoming Christians. It’s important to understand that we need to constantly grow in our relationship with Jesus and work on improving all areas of our lives. The key to this growth is asking the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s will to us as we study the Bible, so that we may increase in spiritual wisdom and understanding.

The more we incorporate God’s wisdom into every aspect of our lives, the more secure we feel, and the clearer our vision becomes when facing challenges. This clarity helps us understand what is happening beneath the surface, allowing us to evaluate situations more accurately and avoid unnecessary confusion and suffering.

Living in a way that is worthy of the Lord and pleasing to Him is central to the Christian life. We are called to reflect Jesus in everything we say and do so that others may see Him through us. When our actions align with God’s Word, we bear good fruit in all our endeavors and grow in the knowledge of God.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Thank You, Lord, for preparing the way for me to live in a manner worthy of You, pleasing You in all that I am and do. Help me to make the right choices consistently and to change anything in my life that doesn’t align with Your will. Lord, reveal Your will to me so that I may shine for Jesus. Help me to keep a pure heart in every good work I do, so that I may bear fruit and receive heavenly rewards. My goal is to grow in the knowledge of You, to become more like Jesus, and to please You in all that I am and do. I cannot do this on my own, so I ask for Your help, dear Lord. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
