MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 21 OCTOBER

THE 21st OF OCTOBER

OUR HOPE IS SECURE IN CHRIST

“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.” – Romans 5:5-6

We walk by faith, not by sight. Though we have not seen Jesus, we believe in Him. Our hope in salvation is firm, anchored in God’s love, which has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. This love, given to us when we came to Christ, transforms our lives and affirms that Jesus is Lord.

Jesus is always thinking of us. His desire is for all to be saved, and on the cross, He did everything necessary for our salvation. Two thousand years ago, at the perfect moment determined by God, Christ died for us in our place. None of us deserved salvation, yet Jesus willingly became the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Now, He sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us, and He lives in us through the Holy Spirit.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I am so blessed to be Your child. Thank You for giving me the Holy Spirit and filling my heart with His fruit, especially love. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for dying in my place and paying for my sins so that I may live. I could not earn salvation, but You gave it to me through Your amazing grace. I can never thank You enough for all You’ve done for me! I was lost, a sinner with no hope, until You touched my heart and changed my life. All glory and honor be to Your Holy Name. Amen
