THE 23rd OF AUGUST
THE LORD IS OUR LIGHT, STRENGTH, AND SALVATION
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” – Psalms 27:1
Is this truth reflected in your life? If not, it can be. All it takes is faith—believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for your sins. Repent, ask for His forgiveness, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we are free from fear. Walking in His light, we belong to God, and that is the safest place to be. He is the Almighty, stronger than anything else, and He desires the best for us. We are called to deepen our intimacy with God, to fully know Him, and to follow His lead in every step of our lives. With God’s guidance, nothing can harm us. He always provides the best directions and equips us for whatever He asks us to do. Therefore, as long as we rely on God’s strength rather than our own, there is no reason to be afraid!
SUGGESTED PRAYER
I praise and honor You, Lord God Almighty, for You are my Lord, my strength, and my protection. Help me always to put You first, to give You the glory and respect You deserve for who You are and for all that You continually do for me. As long as I remain in You, I know I am protected because You remain in me. Nothing can penetrate the hedge of protection You have placed around me without Your permission. Thank You with all my heart for Your help and care in guiding me through life’s hardships. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
