MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 23 OCTOBER

THE 23rd OF OCTOBER

WE ARE RECONCILED TO GOD THE FATHER THROUGH JESUS

“For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.”
Romans 5:10-11

Through Jesus, we are restored to a harmonious relationship with God, entering into fellowship and complete unity with Him. While we lived in sin, we were in opposition to God. This underscores His remarkable love and grace, as He sacrificed His Son to save those who were once His adversaries. But He didn’t stop there; He welcomed us into His family, making us His children!

If He loved us that profoundly, we can be confident that, as His own, He will further assist us in staying on the narrow path that leads to heaven. The good news doesn’t end here. By following Jesus, we can rejoice in God’s love. Through Jesus, we have received reconciliation with God, and in Him, we find the fullness of love, hope, joy, and peace.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

How wonderful are all the things You have done for me, dear Lord. Thank You, Jesus, for reconciling me to God the Father and bringing me back into fellowship with Him. You have prepared fullness of joy, peace, and love for me. Please help me to seek, find, and embrace all that You have for me, so that I may always have firm faith in You and never doubt my salvation. Through the Holy Spirit, help me to quickly repent when I sin and to choose to do what pleases God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
