GOD PROTECTS THOSE WHO LOVE HIM

“Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful and fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” – Psalms 31:23-24

When we love the Lord with all our hearts, we naturally desire that others do the same, so they too can experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from a life of faith. Following God requires a humble heart, one willing to surrender control of our lives to Jesus. But when we fully commit to Him, He cares for us more deeply than we ever could on our own, providing protection and preservation. Earlier in this psalm, David speaks of those who oppose God’s faithful, referring to them as the proud ones.

These individuals, in their rebellion against God’s will, display hostility toward the faithful. Their disobedience comes at a great cost, as it leaves them vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks. This remains true today—sin, when not followed by genuine repentance, grants the devil a foothold to harm the sinner, ultimately leading to spiritual death.

But when we place our hope in the Lord, we rely on the One who loves us most. No matter what challenges arise, we can find strength in Jesus and His unfailing promises. The strength we receive from the Lord during difficult times cannot be found anywhere else. God’s grace is always sufficient, and we can trust Him to provide it.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Thank You, Father God, for protecting and caring for me when the evil one comes against me. You are always there for me when I call on Your Name, guiding me through difficult situations. Thank You, Jesus, for making me victorious in You and for granting me the grace I need to overcome challenges. I love You, Lord, with all my heart. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
