MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 31 JANUARY

THE 31st OF JANUARY

GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT TO OVERCOME EVERY TRIAL

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

When we truly grasp the incredible nature of God’s grace—what we have received through it in this life and the promise of eternity in heaven—we can face trials, persecution, and suffering with greater courage. Even years of suffering in our earthly bodies are but a fleeting moment compared to the endless joy of eternity. Staying on the path of faith, regardless of the cost, is worth it because our eternity is shaped by the choices we make in this life.

We need not fear suffering, for God watches over us continually. When we turn to Him in prayer and earnest petition, we witness His merciful kindness at work. Through His grace, He draws us closer to Christ, strengthens our faith, and equips us to live out Christian virtues with renewed hope and endurance.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Lord, how can I ever thank You enough for the grace You have given me through Jesus Christ? In Your mercy, You touched my heart and made me Your child. Thank You for Your protection, guidance, comfort, and the revelation of Your Word through the Holy Spirit—all because of Your boundless grace. I know I deserve nothing on my own, yet You see such great value in me that You gave Your Son to die for my salvation. Help me to understand more deeply all that You have done for me, so I will never doubt Your unconditional love. I love You with all my heart, my Lord. Amen
