THE 5th of SEPTEMBER
GIFTS WHICH ARE SPIRITUAL SHOULD BE USED FOR GOD’S GLORY
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. – 1 Peter 4:10
Every single one of us has received at least one special talent, through God’s blessings, or an ability to do something better than most people. The Holy Spirit is more than willing to reveal it to you and help you use it for God’s glory, if you ask Him to do so. We should use these spiritual talents to bless others, so as to have a positive impact in God’s kingdom.
If we bury the talents and abilities that our Lord had given us, we waste our gifts, and are not only robbing ourselves from reaping the results of the blessed work for our Lord, but we also rob God. We are happier and more productive when we do what God has gifted us to do. None of us has received our gifts because of our own merits, but only because of God’s unmerited favor, so we are to use what He has blessed us with for the glory of His Holy Name.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
We give You Glory and honor, Lord God, for the gift of Your grace. Nothing I ever accomplished would qualify me to deserve Your gifts, which I have received because of Your love and mercy. Thank You for the chance to serve others. Please help me be a good steward of all You have entrusted me with and use it all for Your glory. Help me Lord to use my spiritual gifts to serve and bless others and if there is another gift that I have not identified yet, please reveal it to me, in the Name of Jesus I pray. Amen
