THE 8th OF APRIL
JESUS – THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER
He (Jesus) was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, so that your faith and hope are in God. – 1 Peter 1:20-21
Before the foundation of the world, Jesus was appointed by God. Through the virgin Mary, Jesus came in human form to live among us and give His life in our place. God the Father raised Him from the dead and exalted Him to the highest place—“at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” (Ephesians 1:20-21)
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have worked together for our redemption, so that our trust and hope would be firmly rooted in God. It is only through Jesus that we can be faithful to God. He alone is the way to the Father. Pagan religions and the ecumenical movement suggest that there are many paths to God, but the Bible clearly states that Jesus is the only way (John 14:6). If salvation could come through any other means, there would have been no need for the Son of God to die. Any other god or religion is false, a tool the devil has used to deceive many throughout history.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Thank You, Lord God, for Your love for me and for the wonderful plan You have for my life! Please help me to trust You fully, to know that You never forsake me, and that through Jesus I can be part of Your family forever! I thank You, Lord Jesus, for opening the way to the Father through Your sacrifice and for giving me Your righteousness so I can be part of the heavenly Father’s family! Glory, honor, and praise to Your holy Name! Amen
