Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. – Philippians 4:8
Abba Father, we, your people, exalt your Holy Name and sing out your praises, with the cherubim and the seraphim, and all the choirs of angels, giving you Eternal Glory, for you are the Ruler of the entire firmament, heaven and earth, and all dominions are under your justice and governance. Father, your supremacy over all things holy, is absolute, and you abhor all vain and dishonorable acts of man which ignite your wrath, and makes you turn your countenance away. Your dogmas and commands keep us true to our faith, and in obedience of your Holy Will.
We are taught by Holy Scripture, to do away with wickedness, to uphold your Holy Word and engage in whatever things are true, agreeing with truth, in word, deed and the workings of our conscience, both with reference to believers and to those who are faithless. Lord, you are love itself, and those who fathom what love is, understand who God is. May we excel in love of you and our neighbor, living exemplary lives in praise of you, for anything impure, is not of you. Help our fidelity to you increase, O Merciful Lord.
Teach us Lord, to become worthy and chaste, so as to attain your graces and favor, essential for the reward of eternal life. May we seek to be pure, righteous, undefiled, without blemish of nature and character, and may we succeed in our attempts to avoid and mitigate evil. May we be known by our good deeds and respected for our deep faith, unshaken belief and courageous works. Help us Lord, to live in Christ and to bring him honor and repute for his holy gospel, which we preach, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
