He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5–7
Merciful God, Sovereign King of infinite power and majesty, we bow before you in humble gratitude that though we are degenerate and sinful, your immutable love for us has caused you to rescue us and regenerate our souls, saving us from eternal perdition and awarding us eternal salvation. Salvation has not been earned by our own merit. Rather, it is a free gift granted to us by the redemptive sacrifice of your beloved Son Jesus, who, by shedding his blood for us, redeemed and justified us before you. We have obtained this inheritance into your kingdom, by virtue of your grace and exclusively by your endless mercy and compassion. We turn our contrite and penitent hearts to you, conscious of our grave misdemeanors, seeking to make retribution by the conversion of our souls in an outpouring of faith, restored and regenerated by our rebirth in the cleansing of our soul through the power of the Holy Spirit and through ingrown faith and new life in Christ. This has also given us communion with you, dear God, and the unparalleled grace of becoming your children and heirs to the heavenly realms. We commit ourselves, as Christians, to offer our faith and good works for the glorification of your Holy Name, in accordance with your Holy Will and continuing our mission of drawing souls to you, by conversion and transformation of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
