Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9
O King of kings and Lord of lords, sent by the Father to save and redeem mankind of sin and shame, you came to the earth as a humble servant of God, serving and saving sinners who were so lost in the error of their wicked ways, that they could be freed only by your taking of the curse upon yourself.
Only you could give us deliverance from the clutches of iniquity binding us to Satan and his dark and wretched domains, tightening the reins that held us in a destructive stranglehold from which there was no hope of escape. Only our Messiah, the much awaited anointed one, appointed by our God, your Father had the power to deliver us and spiritually restore us to our creator.
Lord Jesus, you fulfilled the prophesy of the coming of a Savior and Messiah and though you came unannounced and unheralded, your quiet and undisputed authority that surrounded you with an aura of divinity, power and glory gave cognizance to your person, the Son of God and brought great rejoicing to all those eagerly awaiting your coming.
We proclaim your majesty and dominion over all the earth, which is anointed with the blood of the lamb, for the sake of delivering us to righteousness and granting us eternal life by God’s grace and our faith in you as Mediator of our loving Father whose providential shelter we now enjoy.
The church of God, and true believers in you Christ, who have made reparation to be set free from perdition, are spiritually members of your body. We await your second coming, Lord Jesus, riding majestically on a radiant white horse, to establish your kingdom on earth and reign forevermore as our king and sovereign. Amen
