And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Almighty Father, Omnipotent God, your created humanity, though made in your image, in holiness and sanctity, separated themselves from your Holy Presence, by committing irreparable iniquity and falling from the height of your Grace, Truth and Light, to the depths of sin, bondage and darkness. Lord God, of perfect divinity, by our transgressions, you came to earth, to rescue us and reinstate us, clothing yourself in human flesh, thus fulfilling your promise to us.
Jesus, our Messiah and Savior, paid the full price of our redemption, by his sacrificial death. By dying, he defeated death and sin, his Cross becoming the vehicle for us to obtain salvation. By becoming Man, he did not forsake his divinity, which was revealed to his disciples before his death, by his Transformation and Transfiguration. Jesus’ Resurrection was victory for the Truth and by it you were glorified, for He made known your Holy Will and his obedience to you, as his Father.
Lord, Jesus brought to us your plan of salvation and your grace of eternal life for all believers in Christ. He bestowed upon us the Power of the Holy Spirit, to dwell with us, all the days of our lives. May your spirit of righteousness encompass us all, so that, as Christ’s Body, who dwell and have their being in him, we too may reflect your grace and glory, proclaiming the Truth and taking it forward to the ends of the earth, as we have been commissioned to do in Jesus’ Name. Amen
