And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.” – Luke 2:7

Gracious and loving Father, we come before You with hearts filled with great thankfulness for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. As we reflect on His humble birth in a manger, we are reminded of the depth of Your love and the lengths You would go to redeem us. Lord, we are humbled by the simplicity of His arrival. No palace, or royal fanfare, but just a stable, and yet, in that lowly place, the King of Kings was born. Teach us, Father, to find grace in humble beginnings and to trust in Your perfect plan, even when circumstances seem bleak.

Help us to see the significance of the manger. It reminds us that Christ came for rich and poor, high and low, known and unknown. May we embrace this truth in our hearts and extend it through our actions, loving others as You have loved us. Forgive us, Lord, when we close the doors of our hearts, as there was no room for Him in Bethlehem.

Today, we ask You to make room in our lives. Remove the distractions, pride, and busyness that crowd You out. Fill us with Your peace, joy, and presence, so that we may reflect Your light in the world. Thank You for the miracle of Jesus, wrapped in swaddling cloths, yet carrying the hope of salvation for all. May His birth inspire us to live with humility, generosity, and unwavering faith, in Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen
