But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you. – Matthew 6:6
Father God, we give honor and praise, in congregation and in privacy, all for the worship and exaltation of our Absolute God. You are the God of all things, great and small and there is no time or measure of the praises we offer you in exultation of being children of God. Lord, we wish to start and end our day with you, and steal every opportunity to engage in voluntary communion with you, thus drawing closer in faith and piety of disposition to our loving Father.
We invoke your assistance in all tasks and responsibilities we shoulder as Christians, the followers of Christ. We also need your presence in all matters of the day, public or personal, work or worship, in our duties and possible dangers encountered during an ordinary day, seeking your blessings, grace and preservation in all our undertakings. We seek to make prayer to you and holding conversation with you as equal as our breath, holding you close to our heart.
Lord, we know that nothing in this world is worth obtaining, without your consent, and we commit ourselves to your loving and fatherly care, knowing that all that you grant us is profoundly to profit us in spiritual growth and transformation of our inner selves, the most important part of us as individuals. We make our moment of prayer private, thanking you for your mercy and grace, imploring forgiveness for every offense, seeking direction, warding off the evils of temptation, rousing ourselves to prayer by the power of your Spirit of love, peace and harmony, to be worthy of your rewards, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
