MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL FOR 23 DECEMBER

THE 23rd OF DECEMBER

God Rewards Good Done with the Right Heart

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” – Galatians 6:9-10

The apostle Paul lived out the truths he taught. Understanding the significance of following the Holy Spirit’s guidance, he encourages us to do the same so that we may “reap eternal life.” At times, we might feel tempted to stop doing what is right when faced with hurt or discouragement. However, by steadfastly obeying God and refusing to lose heart, we position ourselves to reap the benefits of our faithfulness. The enemy will attempt to dissuade us, even in the final moments of our lives, but perseverance always brings its rewards.

Whenever we have the opportunity to help, bless, or do good for others—especially fellow believers—we should seize it. Actions carried out with a sincere heart will yield eternal blessings. As we grow in understanding and receiving God’s love, we can share that love more abundantly with others. We are called to support one another in daily life, grow spiritually, and live in a way that honors God.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Lord, thank You for teaching me through Your Word how to live rightly for You. Help me not to let discouragement or emotions keep me from doing good and blessing others. Strengthen me to persevere so that I may reap the blessings You have promised. Lord, guide me to use every opportunity to help those around me, especially my brothers and sisters in Christ. Help me to fully understand and receive Your love so that I may love others and help them grow closer to You and reflect Your character. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
