THE 24th OF MARCH

THE JOY WE FIND IN THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH

“Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8:10

When we face hardships, instead of succumbing to self-pity, we should choose to rejoice in the Lord, thanking Him for all He has done and for what He is yet to do. In doing so, we gain the strength needed to navigate any situation.

Jesus longs to carry our burdens. If only we would trust Him fully and surrender all our worries to Him. He desires our complete reliance on Him.

His joy sustains us when we feel we cannot go on. It lifts, surrounds, and empowers us. In John 17:13, Jesus tells God that He shared His teachings so His followers would have lasting joy even after His departure.

The impact of His words was evident. In Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit descended, people spoke in tongues and understood one another through the Spirit’s intercession. They were filled with awe. Peter preached, and thousands were added to their number that day. This joy transformed lives—they met in homes, shared all things, and God continued to grow their community.

That is the power of joy. It saves, multiplies, and testifies. Jesus imparted His joy so that it would spread, drawing more into the redeemed family.

SUGGESTED PRAYER

Thank You, Lord, for who You are and all You have done for me. You have never abandoned me, and I trust that You are with me now. Help me to rejoice in You, no matter my circumstances, so that You can work in my life for my good, as You always have. Glory to Your Name forever. Amen
