THE 9th OF NOVEMBER
PEACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH OBEDIENCE TO GOD
“Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” – Isaiah 48:18
The message God gave His people in the Old Testament holds true for us today. God’s call to follow His commandments is not out of harshness, but rather so we may receive His blessings. Each commandment has a purpose, designed to help us live in harmony with one another and experience fuller, happier lives. Obedience to God’s commandments opens the door to His blessings, bringing peace, happiness, and prosperity into our lives.
Imagine having a peace so abundant it flows like a powerful, endless river. Just as a river sweeps away everything in its path, God’s peace clears away the worries and distractions that steal our joy. The more we walk in obedience, the more we experience His peace and distance ourselves from sin. The waves of the sea are countless and constant, just like the righteousness we receive from Jesus when we belong to Him.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Your plan is perfect! Your commandments are given to bless me, teaching me how to live well and find joy in life. You love me deeply and want me to enjoy life with You. I thank You, from my heart, for Your peace and righteousness. Help me to follow You in all things, so that Your peace may fill my heart and Your righteousness cover me. Glory and honor to Your Holy Name forever. Amen
